  • Option to compress Windows Vista (256x256) images using PNG compression. Other image sizes will not be compressed to keep the compatibility with Windows XP or lower.
  • Option to use the filter on alpha channel (transparency). If this option is not checked then the effects will leave the alpha channel unchanged. This option is also included on the Main Tool bar.
  • Option to apply adjustments and effects to all images inside of an icon or all layers inside of an image. If this option is not checked then the effects will be applied only on the selected image/layer. This option is also included on the Main Tool bar.
  • Option to apply dithering on palette based images. This will result in a better image quality because it will simulate gradients by arranging the pixels of the image.
  • Option to use optimized palette for 4 bit images. This is useful if you want to use the icon as a toolbar icon under Visual Basic. If it is unchecked the standard Windows palette is used. This is useful if you want to use the icon as an application icon on a 4 bit Windows.
  • Option to export the transparency information when saving to images (bmp, gif, png, jp2). The transparent area will be filled with the selected background color.
  • The default save settings for different file formats. These settings will be used if batch process is used or when the image is saved in these formats.
  • The DPI setting for saved png and jpg files.
